Welcome to the Remoter community! Here, we value honesty, kindness, and respect. If you uphold these values, you'll always feel at home. If not, your stay might be short-lived.

Our aim is to foster a space where users can express themselves freely without offending others. Everyone in the Remoter community is held to this standard.We ask you to be mindful, act thoughtfully, and follow our community guidelines both online and offline.

Remotr's Guidelines

1. Share responsibly. Refrain from posting personal details or contact information publicly (such as phone numbers, emails, or social handles). Publicly sharing your travel plans and schedules is not advisable. Don’t solicit personal information from others either.

2. Respect boundaries. Everyone has different comfort levels. Do not send inappropriate or offensive messages. Remoter is a platform for connecting remote workers, not a dating service.

3. Be authentic. People want to connect with the real you. Do not create fake profiles or impersonate others, even in jest. For a more personal and trustworthy community experience, all Remotr accounts must have a clear profile picture of your face. This helps others recognize and connect with you more easily. If a user does not have a clear profile picture, we are obliged to delete or restrict your account.

4. Communicate with respect. Respect is essential. Harassment, threats, bullying, intimidation, doxing, blackmail, sexually explicit language, or any harmful behavior is strictly prohibited. Remoter stands against any form of hate, including racism, bigotry, and violence based on identity. This includes race, ethnicity, religion, disability, physical appearance, gender, gender identity, age, nationality, or sexual orientation.

5. Act with kindness, not harm. Any behavior that suggests, intends, or causes harm to another member—whether online or offline, physically or digitally—will be taken very seriously. This includes any incitement of harm.

6. 18+ only. You must be at least 18 years old to use Remoter.

7. Follow the law. Illegal content or activities are not allowed under any circumstances.

8. One account per user. Each user can only have one account. For privacy and logistical reasons, shared accounts are not supported; everyone must have their own account.

9. Share your own content. Only post content that you have the right to share. Do not post images or private messages from others without their permission.Maintain integrity. Use Remoter honestly. Don’t spread false information, spam harmful links, or create multiple accounts. Avoid any misuse of the platform.

10. Stay active. If you don't log into your Remoter account for two years, it may be considered inactive and could be deleted. Regular logins help keep your account active.

Reporting

‍We encourage you to report any harmful behavior or violations of our Community Guidelines. Your reports are confidential. By reporting, you help us maintain a safe and welcoming community.

Consequences

‍We take our Community Guidelines seriously and strive to ensure compliance. We have a warning system, but severe or repeated violations will lead to appropriate actions. We reserve the right to investigate and/or terminate accounts without refund if we determine misuse or inappropriate behavior. This includes off-platform actions involving members met through Remoter.

Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSEA) Policy

1. Our Commitment
‍At Remotr, we are dedicated to providing a safe and professional community for remote workers and digital nomads. We have a zero-tolerance policy toward child sexual abuse material (CSEA) and any form of child exploitation or endangerment.

‍We strictly comply with all local and international laws and Google Play’s child safety standards to detect, prevent, and report such activities. Any violations will result in immediate action, including account suspension and legal reporting.

2. Prohibited Content and Behavior
‍The following strictly prohibited activities will result in permanent removal from our platform and may be reported to law enforcement:
✅ Content Restrictions
‍Posting, sharing, or distributing child sexual abuse material (CSAM) in any form.
Uploading or engaging with sexually suggestive, exploitative, or harmful content involving minors.
Using AI-generated or digitally altered images/videos of minors for inappropriate or illegal purposes.

‍✅ User Behavior Restrictions
‍Soliciting, grooming, or attempting to engage with minors in an exploitative or inappropriate way.
‍Encouraging or facilitating trafficking, exploitation, or any illegal activities involving children. Misrepresenting age to bypass platform restrictions or interact inappropriately.
Any violations will immediately trigger an internal investigation and may result in reporting to authorities such as NCMEC (National Center for Missing & Exploited Children).

3. Reporting and Enforcement
‍If you see or suspect any content or behavior violating this policy, please report it immediately through:

Law enforcement reporting if urgent
Our moderation team actively reviews reports and takes swift action, including:
✅ Immediate content removal
✅ Permanent bans for violating users
✅ Reporting cases to the appropriate authorities

‍4. Age Restrictions & Safety Measures
Remotr is strictly for users 18+. We implement content moderation, AI detection, and manual review to monitor and remove illegal or harmful material. We do not allow minors to create accounts or access the platform. Any suspected underage users will be removed. We actively cooperate with law enforcement when required.

‍We adhere to global regulations, including:

✅ U.S. PROTECT Act & COPPA (Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act)
✅ EU GDPR & Digital Services Act (DSA) on child protection
